Pupils, families and staff at Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law have enjoyed two successful community events, bringing the school community together and creating plenty of opportunities for creativity, conversation and shared experiences.
On 2nd October, the school hosted its popular Big Brew event, welcoming families into school for a morning filled with cake, conversation and community spirit. The event was well attended, with many families joining together to support the occasion through their generous donations. The school was delighted to see so many people come along and help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
More recently, families gathered for the school's Poppy Afternoon, which also proved to be a fantastic success. Once again, the event was very well supported, with members of the school community coming together to take part in a range of creative activities.
During the afternoon, attendees made more than 40 badges for Durham Markets to sell and worked on a variety of crafts that will contribute to a future school display. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for children and families to spend time together while supporting a shared project.
The school would like to thank everyone who attended both events and contributed through their participation, donations and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see so many members of the Blessed John Duckett community together, helping to make both occasions such enjoyable and memorable experiences.
Events like these continue to highlight the strong sense of community at Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School, where families, pupils and staff work together to create meaningful experiences for all.
